Sunday Leftovers

If you had asked me four years ago if I handcrafted cards...I would have laughed in your face. And scrapbooking? Nu-uh sistah-friend...I wouldn't touch THAT with a ten-foot pole. Of course, I now work for a little company called Stampin' Up!, going on four years now, and I absolutely LOVE making cards...and a plethora of other crafty-paper-type stuff. Still don't do a lot of scrapbooking, but I'm sure that will eventually come about.

SO! I'm now co-habitating with The Card Diva herself, Kristina Werner. Holla! A couple weeks ago we were "cleaning" the office/craft room and I noticed K-Dub throwing away quite a few scraps. I thought it would be neat to select a few pieces and challenge eachother to make a card with the selections. And so...Sunday Leftovers was born! Originally I was pulling for Craptastic Tuesday...but we figured weekend assembly would be better. Yeah...that's the REAL reason why that name didn't fly ;)

Below is what I put together from the...uh..."coordinating" pieces Kristina gave me. We each had to use all three pieces we gave eachother, but we could supplement them with whatever we fancied. I must say...what I gave her was cake (mmm...cake) compared to what I got.

great card! And I agree, I like "craptastic tuesday" much better, but Sunday Leftovers is much more ladylike, rofl!

Love the card.... and the idea. My friend and I do something very similiar. So much fun! I love both names too!

Love what you did with the leftovers, but I think craptastic would have been a fab challenge name. Welcome to the wide world of blogging.
